What's New
Version 2.0: (Make sure to update both Panmote and the Panmote Companion)
- [New] Added support for Shuffle. You can now play shuffle genres from Panmote. Additionally, you can manage your custom shuffle by selecting the stations that are included in the shuffle.
- [New] Added support for Chrome in addition to Internet Explorer. You can now specify your browser preference from the Panmote Companion Options menu (Chrome is the default preference). Note: due to this change, you cannot connect to an existing browser running Pandora. Instead, when you start the Panmote Companion it will automatically open Pandora in a new window in your preferred browser. When you close the Panmote Companion, it will automatically close the browser that it had opened.
- [New] Added "What's New" section to Panmote to keep the user up-to-date on the changes included in the latest version of Panmote and Panmote Companion.
- [New] Added versioning between client and server to ensure they are in sync. The user will receive a version error if either the client or server is out-of-sync.
- [Bug] Fixed Panmote Companion login performance issues. Login should now be much quicker.
- [Bug] Cleaned up the Panmote Companion menu to take up less visual space. The menu is now accessed from one main button.
- [Bug] Fixed an issue that was causing the currently playing song not to update when switching back and forth between the same stations.
- [Bug] Fixed an issue that was preventing some users from installing the Panmote Companion due to "a newer version of Visual C++ is already installed" error.
- [Bug] Fixed an issue where Panmote was not able to find some servers that were running the Panmote Companion on computers with non-standard IP addresses.
- [Bug] Fixed other miscellaneous bugs.
- Ability to control Pandora directly from your phone or tablet: play, pause, next song, thumbs up, thumbs down, change station, search for new stations, add station, remove station, adjust volume
- Push updates for currently playing song and list of stations
- Intuitive user interface that feels like a local music app
- Near real-time response (faster than other Bluetooth remotes)
- Does not require a WIFI connection if your server is accessible via the internet
